Jitera uses a hierarchical structure of Organization → Team → Project to manage access.
Roles
Jitera has three role levels: organization, team, and project.
Organization roles
Controls access to org-level settings and the ability to create teams.

| Owner | Full access — create teams, invite members, manage org settings and billing |
| Admin | Manage teams and members |
| Member | Access teams they belong to, create projects |
Team roles
Controls access within a specific team.
| Role | Permissions |

| Owner | Full team management |
| Admin | Add/remove members |
| Member | Access projects, chat, create docs |
| Guest | External collaborator — no org membership required |
Project roles
Controls access for project-level guests.

| Editor | Edit documentation and chat |
Inviting Members
Organization Members
- Open the Members page in organization settings
- Click Invite and enter the email address and role
- An invitation email is sent — the invitee joins after accepting
Invitations are valid for 7 days. Expired invitations can be resent.
Guests
You can invite external users as guests on a per-project basis. Guests can only access the project they were invited to and cannot see other projects in the organization.
Managing Members
On the Members page in organization settings, members are organized into Members and Guests tabs.
- Search members by email or name
- Change roles via dropdown
- Remove members
- Resend or cancel pending invitations
Teams
Teams are units for grouping projects within an organization.
- Create teams from the Teams page in organization settings
- Assign members to teams
- Rename or delete teams
- Manage projects per team
