Manage personal account information, preferences, and security settings through a centralized modal dialog.

Manage personal account information, preferences, and security settings through a centralized modal dialog accessible from the user profile menu. Account Settings provides three dedicated tabs for profile management, application preferences, and password security.

• Edit personal profile information (name, work email)

How to Use

1. Open Account Settings modal:

   • Click user profile button at bottom of sidebar
   • Profile button displays user avatar (initial letter) and name
   • Select “Account settings” from profile menu
   • Modal dialog opens with three tabs visible
   

2. Edit profile information:

   • Profile tab opens by default
   • View user avatar (auto-generated from name initial)
   • Edit “Name” field to update display name
   • Edit “Work email” field to change email address
   • Changes save automatically or require save button (depending on field)

3. Configure preferences:

   • Click “Preferences” tab to access application preferences
   • Configure notification settings
   • Set default behaviors and display options
   • Adjust user-specific application settings
   • Changes apply immediately or on save

4. Update security settings:

   • Click “Security” tab to manage password and security
   • Enter current password for verification
   • Enter new password (minimum requirements apply)
   • Confirm new password by re-entering
   • Click save to update password
   • Password change requires re-authentication

5. Close Account Settings:

   • Click X button in top-right corner to close modal
   • Press Escape key to close modal
   • Click outside modal to close (if enabled)
   • Unsaved changes may prompt confirmation dialog

• Uploading custom avatar images (auto-generated from name initial)
• Multiple email addresses per account
• Social login password management (managed by provider)
• Two-factor authentication configuration (separate feature)
• Account deletion from settings (must contact support)
• Exporting account data from settings
• Changing username or account ID
• Customizing modal appearance or position
• Account settings accessible via direct URL (modal only)
• Bulk profile updates via CSV import
